Mike Sowers
Mike got his start in the construction field as a Franchise Owner for College Pro Painters in 2003. At the time, Mike was enrolled in the entrepreneurial studies program at the Carlson School of Management of the University of Minnesota where he was able to apply what he was learning in the classroom to the real world business ventures he was involved in.
Mike then started Executive Exteriors & Remodeling in 2005 with the vision of building a company that focused on developing long-term relationships with its customers, employees, vendors, and the community. Mike instilled four core company values early on: think long-term, develop win-win-win relationships, deliver what you promise, and cultivate the intellect.
Mike graduated with high honors in 2006 with a double major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies and a cumulative GPA of 3.96. He was then able to apply his full efforts to growing the company and adding various trade services to the company’s offering.
Mike firmly believes that systems are what drive results. His emphasis on continuous personal and professional development, for both him and his staff, are what he believes has allowed the company to grow continuously and prosper even in tough economic times. Mike likes to solve problems and be able to think creatively enough to find a solution where everyone wins.
With the help of his team, Mike has created, implemented, and improved many business processes. Mike invests a lot into his current team and is always looking for quality individuals who share the company values and have a driven, optimistic attitude.
Outside of the office, Mike is an adventurous and passionate individual. Mike spends a large portion of his free time improving his volleyball and guitar skills and spending time with his family. Mike’s adventurous side has led him to travel across the globe to destinations including England, France, Holland, Germany, Monaco, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, Canada and Australia. Mike was, and remains, extremely involved in other real estate, entrepreneurial, and community activities.
